In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top ten electric vehicle models accounted for one-third of the total sales of passenger electric vehicles. Tesla’s Model Y remains the best-selling car globally, with BYD’s Song not far behind.

Counterpoint analysts expect EV sales to reach nearly 17 million by the end of 2023. Lithium prices are also expected to fall in the second half of 2023, which should benefit EV sales.
