CINNO Research released a report today saying that due to the Spring Festival holiday and the traditional off-season, the demand in February was still at a low ebb, but with the recovery of consumption after the epidemic was released, the inventory of phone brand factories was depleted, and large The rebound in the price of small-size panels has eased the pressure on phone production. In early March, the demand for some panel factories rebounded. The price of phone panels may stop falling and stabilize by the end of the second quarter of 2023.

In terms of LCD, due to the measures taken by the high-generation line to further reduce the utilization rate to ease the operating pressure, the prices of large-size LCD TV panels stopped falling and rebounded, which eased the production pressure of phone panels to a certain extent. However, the price of phone panels will still be under pressure in the short term. In March, prices maintained a downward trend, and a-Si/LTPS panels continued to decline at a rate of US$0.4 per month. Thanks to the optimization of the supply and demand structure and the dynamic adjustment of inventory, CINNO Research predicts that the price of a-Si panels may stop falling as soon as the end of the second quarter, and the price of LTPS panels will most likely stop falling shortly after the price of a-Si panels.

In terms of AMOLED, the flexible AMOLED panel market continues to exceed supply, and manufacturers still choose to fill production capacity as their first choice. The price strategy is aggressive. In March, flexible AMOLED panels continued to decline at a rate of US$1.5 per month. However, as the demand continues to improve, the price of flexible AMOLED panels may stop falling at the end of the third quarter.
