Chrome users on Windows 10 & 11 report being bombarded with PIN pop-ups

According to foreign technology media Windows Latest report, Google Chrome users feedback, in Win10 / Win11 platform after enabling Windows Hello, PIN pop-up window “bombardment”, every time you visit the page are asked to PIN password is required every time you visit the page.

The issue was first reported in late July, with more users reporting the problem in August.

Chrome users reported that after upgrading to a new version of the browser, the option to “Protect your passwords with Windows Hello” would pop up, and when users chose to enable it, they would experience the issue.

One of the users who suffered from the problem said, “I enabled password protection and now I regret it. Every time I visit a page, Chrome pops up.”.

Attached to disable the method:

  1. Open Chrome
  2. In the address bar, type “chrome://settings/” or open “Settings” via the three-dot menu. 3.
  3. Find “Autofill and passwords” and go to Chrome’s password manager. You can also access it directly by typing chrome://password-manager/ settings in the address bar. 4. Turn off “Auto-Fill and Password”.
  4. Turn off the “Use Windows Hello when filling passwords” option.

5. Restart your browser
