H3C announced today the first Wi-Fi 7 router in China, the H3C Magic BE18000, with pricing and launch date to be determined.

According to reports, H3C Magic BE18000 is equipped with a new generation of Qualcomm professional chips, adopts the latest wireless protocol technology of Wi-Fi 7, has a wireless speed of 18000M, supports 2.4GHz / 5.1GHz / 5.8GHz frequency band (the domestic version does not support 6GHz frequency band), and is equipped with three Set of directional antennas and 10G high-speed network ports.

The router just appeared at the CIIE a few days ago. It is equipped with the Qualcomm Networking Pro 1220 flagship platform, equipped with two 10 Gigabit (10 GbE) and three Gigabit (1 GbE) network ports. , with three directional antennas and 16 signal amplifiers.

According to Qualcomm, Wi-Fi 7 is based on a series of iconic features to further improve the speed, optimize performance such as latency and network capacity, and enable new experiences and use cases. Among them, the Wi-Fi 7 multi-connection technology based on high-frequency concurrent HBS) extends the 4-channel dual-band concurrent technology to high-frequency bands, bringing aggregated throughput and best low-latency performance, while releasing the 2.4GHz low-frequency band for Bluetooth and IoT applications make room.

Although this product may not support all the features of the official Wi-Fi 7 standard scheduled for final implementation next year, it at least has features such as 320MHz wide channels, 4K-QAM modulation, and multi-link operation.

In terms of specifications, the BE18000 (overseas version) has a 4×4 tri-band Wi-Fi antenna configuration. And thanks to the 320MHz wide channel support introduced by Wi-Fi 7, it can achieve incredible speeds on the following tri-bands:

"● Its maximum PHY rate in the 2.4 GHz band is 1148 Mbps;

● 5765 Mbps on the 5 GHz band;

● 11530 Mbps on 6 GHz channels."

As for 4K-QAM modulation, it enables less interference from nearby client devices and a 20% faster rate than the 1024-QAM scheme. Simultaneous Multi-Link Operation allows multiple frequency bands to be utilized simultaneously and selects the least congested frequency band to reduce latency.
