Chery plans to enter the UK market in 2026 with a range of plug-in hybrid and pure electric models, said Zhang Shengshan, executive vice president of Chery International, according to a report by eCar.

Statistics show that Chery Group sold 1,026,758 vehicles from January to October, a year-on-year increase of 38.8%, marking the first time that cumulative sales exceeded one million vehicles within a year. Among them, Chery Group’s cumulative sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 200,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 182%, which also hit a record high.

In addition, it is reported that Chery has recently launched Chery Tiggo and Arrizo models for new export markets such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Turkey, and South Africa.

The Arrizo sedan series under Chery’s “big single product strategy” ushered in the launch of Arrizo 8 on September 26. Within a month after its launch, sales exceeded 10,000. The two main products of the SUV Tiggo series, Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 7, contributed 159,500 units and 134,900 units to global sales from January to October, respectively.
