ChatGPT also lies: The puzzle game Simple is not its original

Developer Daniel Tait developed a simple puzzle game called “Sumplete” similar to Sudoku through in-depth communication with ChatGPT.

Daniel Tait asked ChatGPT to develop a “sudoku-like logic puzzle game that does not currently exist” in the chat. In a subsequent chat, ChatGPT claimed to have made the rules and created the code for the game.

But it is not the truth.

According to reports from foreign technology media Digital Trends, the Sumplete developed by ChatGPT is not “currently non-existent”, and has exactly the same rules as an application called “Summer”.

The app was developed by RP Apps and Games and is available on the Google Play Store. The impact of a chatbot like ChatGPT simply taking an invented game and then claiming it invented and programmed the game itself is considerable.

The media editor asked ChatGPT to make a game similar to “The Last Survivor”. The plot content created by ChatGPT completely copied the Naughty Dog game and used the names of Ellie and Joel as the main character.
