CD Projekt has confirmed that it plans to launch a complete version of “Cyberpunk 2077”. Previously, news appeared online that “Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition” has passed the PEGI rating of the European Grading Committee.

The company was asked during Thursday’s investor Q&A session if it had plans to launch a “Game of the Year Edition.” CD Projekt’s chief commercial officer Michał Nowakowski said: “As for the new edition, the collector’s edition, we don’t know the specific name yet, but We will let everyone know when the time comes.”

Cyberpunk 2077 was released in December 2020, and last month CD Projekt launched the game’s only DLC, Shadows of the Past.

Regarding the special edition, Nowakowski said it won’t necessarily follow a similar path they took with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Witcher 3 was released in May 2015, followed by a Game of the Year Edition in August 2016, which included the base game, two expansion packs, and additional DLC.

Nowakowski said: “Well, with The Witcher 3, we spent some time doing this, but we didn’t want to compare it because maybe we would take a new approach, a different approach than The Witcher. In our You don’t have to compare it to The Witcher until the full version is released. We do have some ideas, but it’s not the time to discuss them yet.”

During an investor presentation on Thursday, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński said that Cyberpunk 2077 has now sold more than 25 million copies, meaning it sold out “much faster than The Witcher 3” after its release. ”, which has sold more than 50 million copies in total. The company also said that “Shadows of the Past” sold more than 3 million units in its first week.

It is noticed that “Cyberpunk 2077” game director Gabe Amatangelo recently stated that the studio has no plans to make more major updates for the game because they are shifting their attention to other projects, including the game’s The sequel, “Project Orion,” is now in development at CD Projekt’s North American studio.

CD Projekt also said Thursday that it is currently developing a live-action project based on Cyberpunk 2077, seemingly hinting at plans for further collaboration with Cyberpunk Edgerunners animation studio Trigger.
