CATL Donates to Supercharging Station Tibet China

0

CATL signed a donation agreement with the People’s Government of Medog County, Tibet Autonomous Region to donate and build the first supercharging station in Medog.

It is located in southeastern Tibet, on the lower reaches of the Brahmaputra River, on the eastern section of the Himalayas and on the southern slope of the Gangrigabu Mountains, bordering to the east Chayu County borders India to the south (some areas are in southern Tibet), Milin City, Longzi County, and Cona City to the west, and Bomi County and Bayi District to the north, with a total area of 31,450 square kilometers.

Medog is the place with the lowest altitude, the mildest climate, the most abundant rainfall, and the best ecological preservation on the Tibetan Plateau, but it also means that transportation and energy supply are not easy.

According to the plan, Shanghai Kuaibu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Kuaibu”), a subsidiary of CATL, will provide a microgrid supercharging system and platform for the supercharging station donated to Medog. Dozens of new energy vehicles provide energy replenishment services. Combined with Shenxing’s supercharged batteries, they can also achieve the 4C energy replenishment speed of “charge in ten minutes and Shenxing can travel eight hundred miles”.

CATL said that through the use of multi-functional, high-protection supercharging systems and technologies, Medog County will build the plateau supercharging station with the best comprehensive performance in Tibet.
