0

According to Canonrumor’s latest news, the Canon EOS R5 Mark II camera is expected to be released at the beginning of the year, the release time should be earlier than the February CP +. The latest rumours say that the Canon EOS R5 Mark II camera will support 8K60p RAW recording, while the frame rate of 4K recording will also be greatly improved.

Canon is reportedly planning to position the EOS R5 Mark II as a top-of-the-line model for still image and video capabilities. A source claims that the EOS R5 Mark II’s 8K RAW recording frame rate will be increased to 60fps, and it’s not yet known if additional power or auxiliary cooling will be required. Canon’s previously revealed patent has additional battery slots that would provide more power to the camera as well as the fans on the accessories.

The resolution of the EOS R5 Mark II’s image sensor has yet to be determined, with sources claiming that both 45mp and 60mp versions have been tested, with the media suggesting that the final version is more likely to have a 45mp sensor. The source also claims that the EOS R5 Mark II will receive a “significant” frame rate increase for 4K recording performance. The current EOS R5 supports 4K 120p, while the EOS R5 Mark II may support 4K 240fps.

Canon’s current EOS R5 will be released in 2020 at a price of RMB 25,999 and features a new CMOS image sensor with about 45 effective megapixels and a DIGIC X digital image processor.
