Canon to launch new camera and RF 24-50mm lens on Feb. 8, sources say

According to mirrorless rumors news, Canon will hold a launch event on February 8, in addition to the previously revealed RF 24-50mm lens, Canon will also release a camera.

According to previous rumors, Canon’s camera for this release could be the EOS R8 or R50.

The R8 is reportedly positioned between the Canon EOS R7 and EOS R10 and will feature a different design than the R7 and R10, a unique screen, and the same 24.2mp image sensor as the EOS R10. The EOS R50 will feature a 24.2mp APS-C sensor, a DIGIC X processor, support for 12fps continuous shooting and 4K30p recording, and support for Dual Pixel AF II contrast. The EOS R50 will be equipped with a 24.2mp APS-C sensor, a DIGIC X processor, 12fps continuous shooting and 4K30p recording, Dual Pixel AF II focus support, a 1.04MP folding screen and no EVF.

In terms of lenses, the Canon RF24-50mm F4.5-6.3 lens has been added to the latest list of products and should be a compact entry lens.

At the moment, Canon has not officially announced the launch time.
