Call of Duty official release announced that after joining the detection of directly targeting cheat program developers, in the past 24 hours, blocked 14,000 “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” and “Warzone” cheating, hacking accounts.

The official learned that as early as 2021, Activision Blizzard launched a new Ricochet anti-cheat system, but cheaters continue to look for system loopholes and create new ways to sabotage the game, it can be seen that this is a protracted battle.

Ricochet’s anti-cheat system typically uses a unique and efficient method of identifying and counteracting cheaters. Rather than cutting connections and blocking players immediately upon detection, the system responds to cheaters with countermeasures designed to eliminate any unfair behaviour.

Strategies include damage shields, which counteract the damage output of cheating players, blocking non-cheating players from seeing cheating players, and even disarming cheaters.

Recently there has also been a new “Illusion” feature that can distract cheaters with false player targets while collecting data. It is understood that these decoy characters can only be seen by cheaters recognized by the Ricochet system.
