BYD’s new patent: can detect peeling fingerprints to prevent unrecognizable after recording

Recently, BYD Semiconductor Co., Ltd. disclosed a patent “method and device for detecting fingerprint peeling, fingerprint recording method and device and chip”.

The abstract shows that the present invention detects the user’s fingerprint by obtaining the target fingerprint image, determining the variance of the stripped line distance according to the target fingerprint image, and judging whether the user’s fingerprint corresponding to the target fingerprint image is a stripped fingerprint according to the variance of the stripped line distance, so as to improve the accuracy of fingerprint recognition while effectively avoiding the problem that the stripped fingerprint is recorded and subsequently cannot be recognized due to the current inability to recognize the stripped fingerprint. The problem.

The current fingerprint recognition device cannot recognize other abnormal fingerprints other than wet fingerprints, such as finger peeling triggered by peeling fingerprints. Finger peeling will cause drastic changes in fingerprints, resulting in peeling fingerprints not being recognized effectively after being recorded for a period of time.

In other words, this BYD patent is able to detect whether it is the user’s fingerprint is a stripped fingerprint, and if it is detected as a stripped fingerprint, it will prevent the user from entering it to prevent subsequent unrecognition.
