Yesterday, BYD announced its sales data for October 2022. In the month, a total of 217,500 new energy passenger vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 144.7% and a month-on-month increase of 8.23%.

It is worth mentioning that Tesla recently announced on its official website that it will reduce the prices of many new energy vehicle products, while AITO M5 / M7 cars choose to give away 8,000 yuan of insurance.

As competition in the new energy vehicle market becomes fiercer, users often wonder whether BYD is considering cutting prices. In addition, it was previously reported that BYD will launch a new Han EV model with a lower starting price.

According to First Finance and Economics, BYD staff said that the company has no plans to reduce prices at present. The price reduction of other brands is caused by their own orders, production capacity and other reasons, and the situation is different from each other.

Yadi Automobile sold 217,816 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of 142.2%; passenger car sales were 217,518 units (including 9,529 exported), a year-on-year increase of 144.7%. From January to October, BYD’s new energy vehicle sales reached 1.4029 million units, a year-on-year increase of 158.52%.
