BYD’s new mid-size sedan Seal 06 DM-i was unveiled at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. No specific configuration information was announced. It is expected to be equipped with BYD’s fifth-generation DM hybrid technology.

It is learned that this new car adopts the Haiyangwang family-style front face design, with sharp headlights on both sides. The side curve is a fastback style with semi-hidden door handles, and the rear adopts the popular through-type taillights.

In terms of the cockpit, the car is equipped with a suspended central control screen and provides Chinese buttons. There is a unique wavy texture printed on the top of the seat, which is consistent with the “ocean” style, using a large number of curves and color-blocking designs.

For reference, the just-released “Qin L” of the same level is equipped with a DiLink smart cockpit, equipped with a 15.6-inch adaptive rotating suspension pad, on-board ETC, NFC digital key, full-scenario intelligent voice and other configurations. DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system includes adaptive cruise, intelligent piloting, emergency lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring and other functions.

The declaration information shows that the length, width and height of the Seal 06 are 4830/1875/1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2790mm, which is close to the size of the Qin L (4830/1900/1495mm, wheelbase 2790mm). The new car is still equipped with a 1498ml engine with a power of 74kW and a top speed of 180km/h. The pure electric cruising range is 90km, and the fuel consumption is 3.98L/100km.
