As the first model of Fang Leopard, Leopard 5 is based on BYD’s new DMO super hybrid off-road platform and is positioned as a medium-sized SUV. The new car adopts a non-load-bearing body. The mid-to-high-end models are equipped with three differential locks. The top-end models are also equipped with the Yunnan-P intelligent hydraulic body control system. The power system is composed of a 1.5T engine and front and rear dual motors.

In terms of appearance, the new car has a square outline and clear three-dimensional lines, creating a typical tough image. The front face is equipped with a rectangular air intake grille, and large-size current matrix headlights on both sides are integrated with the grille. The brand LOGO is placed in the center of the grille, and the lower surround has a wild guard design. The new car will be available in 6 body colors, and the Yunnan flagship version also has an exclusive border blue color.

From the side, the door handles of Leopard 5 adopt a traditional style design, highlighting the tough style. At the same time, the new car also supports Bluetooth and NFC keys. The rear is a common shape for off-road vehicles. The square body is paired with raised wheel eyebrows at the front and rear and an external spare tire, giving the vehicle a very rough visual effect. During the Guangzhou Auto Show, Leopard 5 unveiled a new interior color scheme, using Storm Rice + Eclipse Blue interior style, which has a warmer visual effect overall.
