BYD this afternoon released a note on individual dolphin vehicle air conditioning problems.

BYD said that individual users have recently complained about the phenomenon of white powder blowing out from the air conditioners of Dolphin vehicles. After testing, this phenomenon is caused by the Dolphin model individual air conditioning evaporator abnormality. After testing, the main component of the powder is aluminum hydroxide (commonly used in stomach medicine), which is not harmful to the body.

BYD apologized for this and said that if users have doubts, they can go to the store for free testing. In case of this phenomenon, the evaporator can be replaced free of charge and the air conditioning pipe cleaned to completely solve.

BYD Dolphin was released in August last year, with a premiere pre-sale price range of RMB 96,800- RMB 124,800. The model adopts the “marine aesthetics” design concept, with marine life and waves as the main line, and also equipped with the new BYD e platform 3.0, with a 2700mm long wheelbase. The car is equipped with the “Blade Battery” as standard, the world’s first deeply integrated eight-in-one electric drive assembly, and the direct heat and cooling technology of the battery pack, which improves the overall performance of the battery pack and increases the winter range by 20% and consumes 10.3kWh of energy per 100km.
