BYD launched the BYD ATTO 3 limited edition Forest Green at the 2023 New Delhi International Auto Show in India and the new pure electric coupe Seal also debuted. Following the brand-new e6 and BYD ATTO 3, Seal has become another new energy model launched by BYD in the Indian market in the past two years, and will be officially released in the fourth quarter of 2023.
BYD officially entered the Indian passenger car market in October 2022 and released BYD ATTO 3, India’s first sporty pure electric SUV. The limited edition Forest Green launched at this auto show will only sell 1,200 units.

The all-new pure electric coupe SEAL debuted for India, with a sharp overall shape and a low body posture, giving it a sporty feel. In terms of design, the front and rear overhangs of the vehicle are shorter and the wheelbase is larger. In terms of aerodynamic design, the drag coefficient of the vehicle can be as low as 0.219Cd. As an integrator of e-platform 3.0 technology, Seal is equipped with CTB battery-body integration technology, iTAC technology, rear-wheel drive/four-drive power architecture, and an efficient eight-in-one electric powertrain. The acceleration time of the four-wheel drive version from 0-100km/h is only 3.8 Second.

According to the parameters of the domestic version, BYD Seal adopts battery-body integration (CTB), an eight-in-one electric powertrain, a heat pump system, boost fast charging and other technologies to provide three battery life versions of the model, and standard battery life The model is equipped with a 150kW rear motor, and the CLTC cruising range is 550km; the long-endurance version is equipped with a 230kW rear motor, and the CLTC cruising range is 700km; the four-wheel drive performance version has a total power of 390kW, and the CLTC cruising range is 650km.
In the BYD exhibition area, participants can not only get close contact with BYD’s electric vehicle products but also experience BYD’s ultra-safe blade battery, e-platform 3.0 and other core technologies.
In 2022, the cumulative global sales of BYD passenger vehicles will exceed 1.86 million, a year-on-year increase of 155.1%. So far, BYD has served more than 3.37 million new energy vehicle owners around the world.
The first batch of BYD ATTO 3 deliveries in India will start from January 11, 2023. Currently, BYD’s sales network covers 21 cities across India, with 24 showrooms. By 2023, BYD plans to expand the number of showrooms in India to 53.
Recently, Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, senior vice president of BYD’s Indian subsidiary, said that BYD hopes to capture 40% of the electric vehicle market in India by 2030.
