While gamers are still debating whether upgrading from 1440p to 4K is worth it, professional display makers are already moving to 6K and even 8K resolutions. However, BOE is showing off an amazing 16K display at SID International Display Week 2023.

This LCD-based display measures 110 inches and, most importantly, is the world’s first panel capable of outputting 16K (15360 x 8640) images at a 60 Hz refresh rate. The entire picture consists of 133 million pixels, which is 16 times the resolution of 4K or 64 times the resolution of 1080p. The display has a contrast ratio of 1200:1, a DCI-P3 color gamut coverage of 99%, and a brightness of 400 nits. First image by Vincent Teoh (HDTVtest):

BOE has not announced when this panel will hit the market, and the price is estimated to be not expensive.
