But a U.S. organization focused on promoting infrastructure development recently questioned Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’ double standard on climate change, and why he himself hasn’t stopped flying on private jets after the billionaire called for doing “almost everything” to combat climate change. The group says in the video, “Use #BeyondHypocrisy (more than hypocrisy) to call out the worst offenders.”
Bill Gates has said that taking private jets does not make him part of the problem because he has invested billions of dollars in the fight against climate change.
Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk responded by saying that if the former Microsoft leader really wanted to help the climate, giving up his massive short position in Tesla would be “a step in the right direction.
Elon Musk has long questioned Bill Gates’ shorting of Tesla, tweeting last May that “Bill Gates is shorting Tesla for billions of dollars while claiming to help solve the global warming problem.
