Beating Samsung Apple, Lenovo and Motorola becomes Mexico’s largest smartphone maker

Samsung is the world’s largest smartphone maker. However, it is not ahead of all its competitors in every market. In some markets, Samsung is the leading brand by a long shot. In other countries/regions, such as Mexico, Samsung still need to continue to work.

Mexico has an active smartphone user base of about 127 million, and Lenovo’s Motorola was the leading OEM in Mexico in the second quarter of 2022 with a 28 percent share of smartphone sales, according to a recent report.

Samsung was the second largest OEM in Mexico in the three-month period ending in June. The company accounted for 26 percent of smartphone sales for the quarter. Apple followed Samsung in third place. Apple’s shares have risen 3 percent and hold a 16 percent market share.

Motorola’s share grew 5 percent in the second quarter of 2022, while Samsung’s share remained the same as last year. other notable smartphone brands are Xiaomi, OPPO and Huawei. Xiaomi has a 13% market share, while OPPO and Huawei have 11% and 5% share respectively.
