Baldur Gate 3 will push a digital deluxe version, first to experience players can upgrade for free

The classic RPG series “Baldur Gate” 20 years later again ushered in the latest “Baldur Gate 3”, PC version and Sony PS5 version will be on sale on September 1, said to bring cinematic next-generation role-playing game.

According to the latest news from developer Larian Studios, “Baldur Gate 3” will be available in a digital deluxe edition when it is officially released, and players who have already purchased the pre-release version will be able to upgrade to the digital deluxe edition for free.

Digital Deluxe Edition Contents:

  • Bards of the Gods Song Pack – Perform special songs from the new Bards of the Gods series.
  • Green Velon Paintings (Rivellon) – Discover a new collection of paintings in the Forgotten Realms.
  • Exclusive Dice Theme – Roll with a different style.
  • Adventurer’s Bag – Airdrop a batch of camp supplies and potions to help you get started on your journey.
  • Digital Soundtrack – Enjoy the music composed by composer Borislav Slavov for Baldur Gate 3.
  • Digital Art Book – Explore a digital art book of Baldur Gate 3 art and design written by Larian Studios.
  • Digital Character Cards – Browse a four-page set of D&D character cards for the Baldur Gate 3 origin characters.

Also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition is the Green Veron Treasure Pack, which contains

  • Shapeshifter Mask: Inspired by Finn, players can change their appearance at will.
  • Scarlet Prince Cloak: Inspired by the Scarlet Prince, it is a magical cloak.
  • Merryweather’s Flute: Inspired by the tortured musician Loth, it is a playable instrument.
  • Outlaw Stinger: Inspired by Hibel, it is a magic dagger.
  • Sea Beast Double Horn: Inspired by Bist, it is a headpiece.

The official description states that Baldur Gate 3 is a broad, dramatic, player-driven role-playing game based on the D&D 5e rules. The first entry in the series came out in 1998, and the second main instalment was released in 2000, more than 20 years ago. Developed and published by Beamdog, Baldur Gate 2: Enhanced Edition was released on Steam on November 16, 2013, and updated with Simplified Chinese support in the beta channel in May 2018.
