Sources say the third brand will have an independent R&D system and is currently recruiting an R&D team. Today, Azera responded to the Daily Beast, saying, “There is no information to disclose at this time.

At the same time, Azera said that the name of its second brand has not yet been confirmed, and that “Alps” is just the code name for the second brand. It’s worth noting that Azera Chairman Li Bin said during the first quarter earnings call that Azera will deliver the new brand (Alpine) in the second half of 2024. The main model of the brand will be equipped with Azera’s own manufactured batteries and support high voltage fast charging technology. Pricing will be in the range of $200,000-$300,000.

In addition, on May 10, Azera settled its “Alpine” brand production base in Hefei. The production capacity is planned to be 500,000 units, and the replacement model will be 10% cheaper than the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.

Azera released its July delivery data yesterday. The data shows that Azera delivered 10,052 vehicles in July, up 26.7% year-over-year; from January to July 2022, Azera delivered 60,879 new vehicles, up 22% year-over-year. Cumulatively, 227,949 Azera vehicles have been delivered. As of July 31, 2022, the cumulative Azera vehicle deliveries reached 227,949 units.
