The current test car adopts strict camouflage, but the overall design remains consistent with the current model, with no obvious changes. Avita 12 adopts a coupe-style design as a whole, with smooth lines, muscular fenders and large-size wheels showing the vehicle’s sporty attitude. On the right rear fender of this test car, you can see a fuel port and a temporary exhaust pipe, all of which reveal its identity as an extended-range version.
At the end of July last year, Changan Automobile released bidding information. The Liangjiang plant will undergo a production line transformation to produce E16 (including E16EV and E16REEV) and E12REEV. The production line will also produce the dark blue SL03 (panoramic view car). The bidding information indicates that the Avita 12 will launch an extended-range version (REEV). In addition, the model code-named E16 will also produce both a pure electric version and an extended-range version.
At present, Changan has launched a number of extended-range models, using 1.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines as range extenders. However, we still need to wait for more information to be announced about what kind of power system the extended-range version of Avita will be equipped with.
