Before the opening of the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, our frontline reporting team photographed the billboard of the Hongqi EHS7 model in the exhibition hall. The new car will make its debut at the Beijing Auto Show, and the new car will continue the concept in large numbers. The design of the car has a certain sense of the future. It is worth mentioning that the new car is expected to provide flagship-level configurations such as HAC smart driving advanced safety chassis system, four-wheel drive system, air suspension, and 800V fast charging system.
Referring to the application drawings of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, compared with the previously unveiled concept car, the mass-produced version of Hongqi EHS7 has undergone some optimizations. For example, an additional light source is integrated under the headlight strip, and the shape of the closed front grille seems to be different. Adjustments were made to give it a more production-car feel. In addition, the new Hongqi New Energy “Qimiao Wings” LOGO on the front of the car brings a certain sense of future technology to this car.
The rear of the car basically continues the design of the concept car. The through-type light strip + the boomerang-like taillight shape are highly recognizable. The shape of the rear surround is even more radical than that of the concept car. In addition, the spoiler design of the concept car will also be continued on the production car. In terms of body size, its length, width and height are 4925/1950/1680 mm (the vehicle height is 1665mm when the air spring suspension is optional) mm, and the wheelbase is 3000mm.
Looking at the previously exposed spy photos of the interior, the most eye-catching thing inside the car is the butterfly-shaped continuous screen design. It seems that it has also been successfully retained in the mass-produced car. The new car will also be equipped with electronic door handles, and the central armrest is also equipped with a liftable knob, creating a good sense of technology. In addition, the color matching and materials used in the car are also relatively lively, which is eye-catching.
According to the application information, different models have slight differences in configurations such as wheel rim shape, laser radar, two-color body, and air suspension. In terms of power, Hongqi EHS7 is available in single-motor two-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive models. The single-motor two-wheel drive model has a maximum motor power of 253kW and uses rear-wheel drive; the dual-motor four-wheel drive model has a front motor maximum power of 202kW and a rear motor maximum power of 253kW. The maximum speed of both power models is 200km/h. The battery is equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack provided by CATL and Times FAW. Hongqi previously revealed that the car will have an 800-volt fast charging system. Specific information such as battery capacity, cruising range and charging time have yet to be announced during the auto show.
