Audio-Technica recently upgraded the existing AT2020 model with the AT2020USB-XP microphone, introducing some new digital technology and studio-level features.
The AT2020USB-XP is somewhat similar in appearance to its predecessor, with a built-in headphone jack and volume control for latency-free microphone monitoring. The microphone picks up sound in high definition with a high-resolution A/D converter and sampling rates up to 24-bit / 192 kHz.
The AT2020USB-XP also offers a number of new features and functions, which are included here as follows:
Gain control to ensure that the output level is maintained.
Noise reduction switch to turn off or on three-stage noise reduction.
Mixing control helps to output microphone sound via USB and import it into the current computer.
Mute button silences the microphone as needed (red power button turns blue when muted).The AT2020USB-XP microphone is currently listed for sale on Amazon for $169 and is expected to be available in July.
