The ASUS ZenFone series has always been known for its compact flagship body design. However, the just-released Zenfone 11 Ultra changed the norm and took the large-screen route.

The Zenfone 11 Ultra is essentially a facelifted model of the ROG Phone 8. The two have many similarities in core configurations, with both being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 5500mAh battery, 65W wired charging, and 15W wireless charging. In terms of rear cameras, both also use a three-camera system consisting of a 50MP IMX890 main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 32MP 3x optical zoom telephoto lens. The front camera is also a 32MP sensor.

The exterior designs of the two models are also very similar. That means the Zenfone 11 Ultra has an aluminum frame, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a back cover similar to the ROG Phone 8 . However, if you look closely, you can still find some differences. Compared with the frosted back cover of ROG Phone 8, Zenfone 11 Ultra uses a glass back cover, the rear camera module has also been fine-tuned, and the iconic RGB of the ROG series has been removed. Prodigal Eyes Logo.

It is worth mentioning that Zenfone 11 Ultra also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is good news for music enthusiasts or users who require wired headphones.

However, in order to cater to non-gaming users, the Zenfone 11 Ultra removes some of the gaming-assisted features on the ROG Phone 8, such as the second USB-C port on the side and the AirTrigger shoulder button. At the same time, the Zenfone 11 Ultra’s screen has also been changed to a 144Hz LTPO screen (FHD+ OLED), which is slightly lower than the ROG Phone 8’s 165Hz screen refresh rate. Asus also mentioned at the media communication meeting that the cooling system of Zenfone 11 Ultra is also “certainly different” from that of ROG Phone 8.

As an ASUS mobile phone, Zenfone 11 Ultra is naturally equipped with various AI functions. The AI features brought to Zenfone 11 Ultra this time include AI transcription of the voice recorder, transcription summarization, AI call translation, wallpaper generation, AI noise reduction, and semantic search functions for gallery, settings, and app search. It is worth mentioning that most AI functions can run on the device, and the transcription summary function requires an Internet connection.

Other noteworthy software features include Snapdragon Seamless technology that supports cross-device collaboration, customizable notification shade/quick settings styles, and Phone Link support for file transfers, app streaming, and more.

In terms of system updates, Asus said that Zenfone 11 Ultra will provide two major Android system updates and four years of security patch updates, which is slightly inferior to the four to seven years of updates provided by competing products.

Zenfone 11 Ultra is now available for pre-sale in Europe and the United States. The 12GB / 256GB version is priced at 899 euros (Note: currently about 7,075 RMB), and the 16GB / 512GB version is priced at 999 euros (currently about 7,862 RMB) .
