The Tinker V is equipped with an RZ / Five MPU processor from Renesas Electronics and a RISC-V AndesCore AX45MP single-core chip from Epistar with a main frequency of 1.0 GHz. In addition, it has 1GB of built-in memory and an optional 16GB emmc flash memory. The Tinker V has GPIO, micro-USB, dual Gigabit network and two RS232 COM ports.

The Tinker V supports Linux Debian and Yocto operating systems, uses a Pico-ITX motherboard, and can run in environments from -20°C to 60°C. With these features, ASUS hopes to differentiate itself in the industrial IoT space.

ASUS says all purchasers of the Tinker V will be covered by a five-year product warranty and technical support services. For reference, the similarly configured Allwinner D1 Nezha RISC-V development board is priced at around 600 RMB.
