ASUS launches the first GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card with GDDR6X memory

0

Although Nvidia has not officially announced the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X graphics card, ASUS has today launched the first GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card with faster GDDR6X memory.

Asus confirmed the exact configuration of the new SKU, the only change is the use of 19Gbps GDDR6X memory, so the memory bandwidth is higher (608GB/s vs 448GB/s).

The new graphics card features a GA104-202 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores. According to previous reports, the performance of the new graphics card in the synthetic test has improved by 7-10%, but the specific game performance improvement has yet to be determined.

The new graphics cards ASUS launched today have two models:

TUF-RTX3060TI-8GD6X-GAMING

Overclocking Mode: 1695 MHz (Boost Clock)

Default Mode: 1665 MHz (Boost Clock)

TUF-RTX3060TI-O8GD6X-GAMING

Overclocking Mode: 1785 MHz (Boost Clock)

Default Mode: 1755 MHz (Boost Clock)

So ASUS’ RTX 3060 Ti G6X is not a reference design, not only is it clocked higher (in overclocked mode), but it also features a triple fan and 2.7 slot design, which is much more complicated than NVIDIA’s reference card.
