ASUS announces new W680 motherboard: supports 12/13 generation Core and ECC memory

ASUS official website has now announced the new W680 motherboard, the model is Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI, supports 12/13 generation Core processors, and can be installed with DDR5 ECC memory.

ASUS says the Pro Workstation motherboards are designed for professionals working in AI, deep learning, animation, 3D rendering or media production.

This motherboard uses an Intel LGA 1700 socket and supports 13th and 12th-generation Intel Core processors, as well as Pentium Gold and Celeron processors. In terms of scalability, this motherboard is equipped with dual PCIe 5.016 SafeSlots and dual PCIe 3.016 slots, with 3 M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots, equipped with SlimSAS interface, equipped with dual Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet interface, and USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C and Thunderbolt 4 ports. There are four memory slots that support DDR5-4800 ECC and non-ECC memory.

At present, ASUS has not yet announced the price and time to market of this motherboard.
