According to foreign media reports, according to people familiar with the matter, Lee Jae-yong, who was promoted to the executive chairman of Samsung Electronics at the end of last month, is expected to meet again this week with lithography machine manufacturer ASML CEO and President Peter Vinick Shortly after their meeting with Peter Wennink, news emerged that the latter had arrived in South Korea.

Judging from the latest reports from South Korean media, Peter Vinick has already appeared in South Korea, and he has appeared at a press conference in Seoul.

In the report, South Korean media disclosed that Peter Vinick went to South Korea again after half a year to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of their semiconductor cluster in Hwaseong. The project of ASML is scheduled to break ground on Wednesday.

About 40 kilometers south of Seoul, Hwaseong is a semiconductor cluster of Asmar Hwaseong, covering an area of 16,000 square meters, including a maintenance center, training and R&D center, education and experience center, and it is planned to be completed in 2024.

For the semiconductor cluster built in Hwaseong, Peter Vinick believes that it will play an important role in cooperation with local customers, and the training center in the cluster will bring advanced technologies closer to customers.

As for the meeting with Lee Jae-yong mentioned by the Korean media in the previous reports, ASML has not yet announced relevant news, but considering that Lee Jae-yong went to ASML’s headquarters during his European business trip in June, Peter Weinick will go to South Korea this time, and he will most likely also go to Samsung Electronics’ headquarters to meet with Lee Jae-yong, who will soon be promoted to Samsung Electronics’ executive chairman.
