Reason for recall:
The vehicles within the scope of this recall had their steering wheels modified at a Tesla service center. The modified new steering wheels were still equipped with the airbags of the original steering wheels, resulting in a mismatch between the airbags and the new steering wheels. When a vehicle collides, the protective performance of the airbag may be affected, which will increase the risk of the driver being injured in an accident and pose a safety hazard.
Recall measures:
Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will inspect the vehicles within the recall scope. If it is found that the airbag type does not match the steering wheel type, it will replace it with the correct type of airbag free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
