Arch Linux March 2023 (2023.03.01) ISO image has been made available for download, using the latest Linux 6.2 kernel, Arch install 2.5.3 text mode installer can perform a new Arch Linux installation. By default, the ISO comes with the Linux kernel 6.2.1.
Arch Linux version 2023.03.01 also includes the latest Arch Install 2.5.3 text-mode installer, which brings improved disk encryption menus, including HSM, improved partition reliability, new data classes for individual devices (DiskEncryption and Fido2 and Fido2Device), the ability to obtain information about block devices, and new translations into Ukrainian, Korean and Chinese (PRC).
arch install 2.5.3 also fixes a number of bugs, including an issue where you had to wait for arch Linux-keyring to be populated by other services before installing, and a bug where the installer could not read the “/dev/ sdaX” disk using lsblk. However, a recent fix slows down disk selection and manipulation in this release. The developer will be working on a fix.
Users can download the Arch Linux 2023.03.01 ISO image version from the official website, which can be written to a CD or USB flash drive.
Other users running Arch Linux can get the latest installation by simply running the sudo pacman -Syu command in a terminal emulator. arch Linux 2023.03.01 ISO image version is only available for new installations.
