Apple recently released iOS 16. iOS 16 introduces a redesigned lock screen, a new customization method, and a variety of widgets with colorful information at a glance. The lock screen is associated with the focus mode, and distracting content in apps is filtered using the focus mode filter. “Messages get a major update with the ability to edit or retract a message you just sent. Lookup can extract the body of an image from the background and copy and paste it into apps like Mail and Messages. iOS 16 also includes new features for Mail, Maps, and Messages. “iOS 16 also includes updates to Mail, Maps, Wallet, and Health.
One interesting feature is Lookup, and Apple’s official @Apple Support has a tutorial on how you can extract the subject of an iPhone photo and copy and paste it into a chat conversation or document you’re editing with a single long press on iOS 16.
The Looks at Picture Lookup feature is only available for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and subsequent models.
This is also an upgraded feature for Live Text, where users can now tap and hold on to the body of a picture to move it out of the background and place it again in an app such as Messages. In addition, using device-side intelligence, Live Text now recognizes text from all videos in the system. Users can pause the video at any frame, interact with the text and select quick actions such as copy and paste, translate, convert currency and more. These also apply to iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and subsequent models.
