According to the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO) public list, Apple recently obtained a new patent, can use iPhone, Apple Watch and other Apple devices, to scan your body type, to detect whether there is fat and other health problems.

Apple said in the patent that it wants to determine the body’s size, through the need to rely on large, complex optical devices, so it is difficult to integrate into the user-friendly small consumer electronic devices.

The patent, Apple outlined a new method of using handheld devices such as iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or HomePod to detect the body.

Users use the aforementioned handheld devices to take selfies at multiple 3D point maps, and then determine the shape of the torso based on the 3D point maps to build a complete body shape of the user.
