The H2 chip in the new AirPods Pro and Apple Vision Pro is said to combine with breakthrough wireless audio protocols to unleash powerful 20-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio with dramatically reduced audio latency.

Elsewhere, iOS 17 brings exciting features and functionality to all AirPods Pro (second generation), including:

  • Adaptive Audio: This new listening mode dynamically blends pass-through and active noise cancellation modes, adjusting noise control based on the user’s environment. This groundbreaking experience is made possible by advanced computational audio technology, which ensures that the user is constantly aware of his or her surroundings while reducing distracting noises, such as other people’s conversations in the office, the vacuum cleaner at home, or the cacophony of a coffee shop.
  • Conversation Awareness: When the user starts a conversation with the person next to them, whether it’s a short exchange with a coworker or ordering a meal at a coffee shop, Conversation Awareness reduces the volume of the headset and enhances the sound coming from in front of the user while reducing ambient noise.
  • Personalized Volume: The Personalized Volume feature uses machine learning to understand the user’s environmental conditions and volume choices, automatically fine-tuning the listening experience to the user’s preferences over time.

Additionally, the new AirPods Pro is designed with materials and features that make it easier for users to listen to the new AirPods Pro 2.
