Apple’s market share surpasses of competitor Samsung for 2 consecutive months in 2023

According to the latest statistics reported by Atlas, Apple has surpassed Samsung in the first two months of 2023, becoming the mobile phone manufacturer with the highest market share.

Atlas said Samsung has been dominant for years, but the gap between Apple and Samsung has been narrowing. Although Samsung is still the industry leader in 2022, Apple’s mobile phone market share surpassed Samsung’s by 0.2 percentage points in October; and after entering 2023, Apple has surpassed Samsung for two consecutive months.

In January of this year, Apple’s share was 27.6%, and Samsung’s market share was 27.09%. In February this year, Apple’s share was 27.1%, and Samsung’s market share was 26.75%.

There are currently about 6.84 billion smartphone users in the world, of which 1.85 billion use iPhones and 1.82 billion choose Samsung. These are estimates only, and some people own multiple phones and may use both Apple and Samsung phones.

Xiaomi phones had a market share of 12.29% in February, compared with OPPO’s 6.86%. Huawei’s smartphone market share has fluctuated over the past six months, with a market share of 4.84% last month.
