Apple’s iPhone, iPad, and Mac battery replacement services will officially increase in price

0

Apple’s official website shows that starting tomorrow, the battery replacement service for some models of Apple’s iPhone, iPad, and Mac will officially increase in price. Among them, the service charge for out-of-warranty batteries of all iPhone models before iPhone 14 will increase by 169 CNY.

That is to say, starting tomorrow, users of the Bank of China version will have to pay an extra fee if they need to replace the battery. The replacement battery for the old iPhone model with the Home button will cost 528 CNY; while the iPhone X series to iPhone 13 Series models need 688 CNY to replace the battery.

Starting March 1, out-of-warranty battery service charges will also increase by $290 for all MacBook Air models and $480 for all MacBook and MacBook Pro models.

Additionally, there will be an additional $149 for out-of-warranty battery service on the following iPad models: 12.9-inch iPad Pro (5th generation and earlier), 11-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation and earlier), 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad mini (6th generation and earlier), and iPad Air (5th generation and earlier).

The price increase mentioned here will only affect those out-of-warrant users who have not purchased AppleCare or AppleCare + for their devices. If you have AppleCare+, once the battery health drops below 80%, you can go to replace the battery for free.
