Apple’s AirPods add an adaptive audio feature that adjusts sound to the environment

0

Apple released a new adaptive audio feature at the WWDC23 conference, which will be applied to the AirPods wireless headset.

This feature can combine transparency mode and noise reduction technology to dynamically adjust the audio effect of AirPods according to the user’s environment. In this way, disturbing noises around the user are automatically reduced, while other sounds can still be heard. For example, if you have a hairdryer around you, it will be muted, but if there is sudden traffic noise, it will be amplified to your AirPods, Apple says.

It is noticed that this feature also has a new dialogue awareness function, which will lower the music and focus on the surrounding sounds when the user starts to speak. Adaptive audio can also help users reduce surrounding noise and speak more clearly when on a call.
