Apple’s latest 16-inch M3 MacBook Pro models can charge at 140W via USB-C, which requires the use of a 240W USB-C charging cable, according to a support document Apple updated today.
Unfortunately, the current charging adapter provided by Apple can only support 140W fast charging, so the actual rate can only be limited to 140W.
Because previous models used the MagSafe port, the 2021 and 2022 16-inch MacBook Pro models can only charge at 140W via a USB-C to MagSafe 3 charging cable.
Although it supports 240W charging power, this charging cable can only provide USB 2.0 data transfer rate.
