According to an official press release, Apple today released the 14/16-inch MacBook Pro using a gorgeous Liquid Retina XDR display, which increases the brightness of SDR content by 20%.

 XDR Brightness: 1000 nits continuous brightness (full screen), 1600 nits peak brightness (HDR content only)

 SDR brightness: 600 nits

The Liquid Retina XDR display is the world’s first display in a laptop, delivering 1,000 nits of sustained brightness and 1,600 nits of peak brightness when displaying HDR content, along with ultra-high contrast, vibrant colors and exceptional viewing angles. The brightness can reach up to 600 nits when displaying SDR content, which is 20% higher than the previous model.
