According to foreign media reports, Samsung Electronics on June 30 began using the 3nm process for related customers’ foundry wafers nearly six months later, there is also news of TSMC’s 3nm process will soon be mass-produced, and there are reports that their process will begin commercial mass production on the 29th.

And to the reports of foreign media, after the mass production of 3nm process, Apple, as TSMC’s major customer for many years, will still be their main customer of this new process.

For Apple’s first product using TSMC’s 3nm process, the media said it will be its own M-series chip, M2 Pro, which is expected to be carried by the subsequently launched MacBook Pro and Mac mini.

It is worth noting that in August this year, it was reported that the M2 Pro chip would be Apple’s first product to use TSMC’s 3nm process, which is expected to be used in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro to be launched early next year, and possibly in other Mac series products as well.

In addition to the M2 Pro chip, foreign media reports say that later next year, there will be a number of Apple products using TSMC’s 3nm process foundry, expected to be the M3 chip and the iPhone 15 series equipped with the A17 Bionic chip.
