According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman broke the news, Apple will launch three new Apple Watch products this fall, including 41mm and 45mm Apple Watch S9 series and the second generation of Apple Watch Ultra.

Of these, the Apple Watch S9 will get a “pretty big performance boost” with the upcoming S9 processor. While the update from the S7 to the S8 didn’t provide the performance boost that was hoped for, Mark Gurman insisted that it would be the first “significant speed improvement” since the Series 6.

Mark Gurman also shared small details about the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra, which has been tested in a dark titanium version on an engineering unit. While it was dropped because “designers didn’t like the look,” the option could still “theoretically” happen.

At its fall event last year, Apple officially unveiled the Apple Watch S8 lineup, as well as the first Apple Watch Ultra smartwatch, both powered by the S8 processor. The former is a regular upgrade to the Apple Watch, with a 41mm and 45mm dial in both aluminum and stainless steel, while the latter features a 49mm titanium case and a solid flat sapphire glass crystal with up to 2,000 nits of screen brightness, 100 meters of water resistance, and IP6X dust protection.
