Apple Vision Pro patent granted, immersive VR experience in self-driving cars

According to the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO) publicized the list, Apple recently obtained a technology patent on the Vision Pro headset, demonstrating that in future self-driving scenarios, the user wears the Vision Pro headset in the car, you can get an immersive virtual experience.

The vehicle’s VR system will allow users such as corporate executives to hold virtual meetings on their way to work, allow users to play complex VR games, read books or talk to family members while travelling, and more.

The patent overview that passengers would be free to choose their virtual experience and allow users to imagine themselves in a boat floating down a river, soaring through the sky on a hang glider, engaging in a car chase, driving through a post-apocalyptic wasteland under attack by zombies, and so on.

Passengers will also be able to experience the streets of London, travel through fictional cities or landscapes, and other virtual experiences in the VR scene.

Virtual experiences can be educational and interactive, such as allowing passengers to discover history or other information about landmarks in a virtual view of the city they are experiencing. Virtual experiences can be interactive in other ways, such as allowing passengers to pass other vehicles during a road race experience or run over zombies in a post-apocalyptic landscape.
