Apple’s latest Vision Pro headset is basically top of the line in terms of hardware specifications, with two 4K resolution screens and a total of 23 million pixels. However, Apple did not mention the relevant screen refresh rate parameters, only that the overall system latency is about 12 milliseconds.
According to the latest developments at WWDC 2023, the presenter revealed during the session “Optimizing App Functionality and Performance for Spatial Reality” that the Vision Pro display has a refresh rate of “typically 90 frames per second.
For example, when viewing 24 fps movie content, the display will be boosted to a 96Hz refresh rate, reducing the potential for frame jitter at the default refresh rate.
It is found that 90Hz is not a top parameter in the field of VR headsets, but it is the same as the refresh rate of Meta Quest Pro.
