Apple Vision Pro headset patent: private conversations can be opened in a virtual environment

0

According to a list recently announced by the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple has obtained a technology patent related to the Vision Pro headset, which allows two headset wearers to hold virtual conference calls. Start a private conversation.

Apple hopes that the Vision Pro headset will be able to have private conversations once it enters a computer-generated reality (CGR) setting/environment. In a CGR setting (such as a virtual conference), each user’s virtual digital presence can be mapped.

According to the patent description, to initiate a private conversation, the first user’s HMD/Vision Pro obtains sensor data from sensors (e.g., accelerometer, gyroscope, etc.) indicating the first user’s movements. The patent sketch is as follows:

Then in the virtual meeting, if the user performs a tilting action, it is shown in the CGR setting that he wants to chat privately with the second user next to him, and a private conversation situation can be achieved.

The method determines whether the first user wants to initiate a private conversation with the second user based on sensor data, and initiates the private conversation by providing an audio signal to the second user based on the determination to initiate the private conversation.
