Apple issued a reminder today that after the update in March this year, iPhone users in 27 EU member states will not be able to rely on the App Store for functions such as “Screen Time” and “Purchase Sharing”. / feature will not function accurately.

Apple said that “Screen Usage Time” mainly counts user usage time by calling the API of the App Store mall. Therefore, after opening third-party app stores to European users, apps downloaded and installed through non-App Store, or apps installed using sideloading methods, the running time cannot be counted.

Note: After setting up “Purchase Sharing”, one adult in the family (family organizer) will pay for the purchases of each family member. Apple said that this feature would be available after opening the third-party app store to European users. It also cannot be used normally.

Apple also warned that it would not be able to help users with issues such as refunds, purchase history, subscription management and cancellation, violations of user data privacy, abuse or fraud and manipulation.
