Apple today officially announced the launch of “Multiview Sports” for Apple TV 4K, allowing viewers to watch sports games with four live feeds at the same time.
Apple says viewers can enable this view when watching MLS Season Pass, Friday Night Baseball, and live MLS and MLB programming like MLS 360 and MLB Big Inning.
Apple TV 4K users can control the volume of up to four live feeds at the same time with the Siri Remote.
Apple did not mention it in the official support documentation, you should need tvOS 16.5 and higher to enable the feature.
Apple released the tvOS 16.5 update today, and registered developers can download the tvOS 16.5 update by using XCode to download a configuration file on Apple TV.
Updates to tvOS are typically small, focusing on internal bug fixes and improvements rather than significant external changes. No significant new features or functionality were found in this tvOS 16.5 RC.
