Apple’s Apple Pay service officially arrived in South Korea on March 21, with only 32 offline shops supporting the service in the early days of its launch, and then 78 more with partner bank Hyundai Card, a 243% increase.

Apple has been pushing for the launch of Apple Pay in South Korea since 2017, but it was only in February this year that Apple received approval from financial regulators due to heavy scrutiny from regulators.
