Apple today announced and the American Automobile Association (AAA) cooperation, expansion of satellite SOS service. Users in the U.S. who purchase and activate the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series models can get 2 years of emergency SOS and roadside assistance services for free.
This roadside assistance service is currently limited to the U.S. If users of the new iPhone 14/15 series run out of gas or get a flat tire in an outdoor area with no signal, they can contact rescue via satellite service.
When you connect, a screen pops up with a short questionnaire to learn the basic details of what can be transmitted to AAA via satellite, and then AAA will message you directly and send someone to your location.
