Apple MacBook Pros is expected to arrive! The website is now under maintenance

The Apple Store B2B page has now entered maintenance status, signaling the imminent arrival of new products on the shelves. However, the general retail page is still in its normal state and appears to be unchanged. According to previous news, Apple is expected to release new Macbook Pro and Mac mini products tonight.

This also means that Apple will release new products for the first time in January.

It’s worth noting that Apple filed an unreleased version of the MacBook Pro, model number A2779, in the Canadian regulatory database on January 11.

Based on the wireless frequency range mentioned in the filing, it appears that the new MacBook Pro will support Wi-Fi 6E, which extends Wi-Fi to the 6 GHz band for more bandwidth, faster speeds and lower latency.

Comparatively, the current 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros support standard Wi-Fi 6, which is limited to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

Existing reports indicate that the next generation of Macbooks will feature either the Apple M2 Pro or M2 Max chipsets with support for the WiFi 6E / 6GHz bands.

The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are expected to have the same design as the 2021 MacBook Pro, with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, and the updated Mac mini is also expected to have the new M2 chip, with rumors suggesting it will have the same design as the current model.

However, Bloomberg’s Gurman previously said that the performance of these chips is not much improved compared to the current M1 Pro and M1 Max.
